The back story for this one is pretty simple... A woman with a gun waiting at the end of a dark hallway for some one (monster, alien, bad guy, etc.) that she plans on blasting.

This one is mostly Painter with a bit of Photoshop at the end. The woman and hallway are both stock refs from deviant art:
